Melbourne Youth Music – 2011 Summer School

The 2011 MYM Summer School offers a range of ensemble and specialist programs and a meeting place for young musicians. With one of Australia’s foremost music educators, Richard Gill, as the inaugural Artistic Director, the 2011 Summer School is shaping up to be the most exciting yet!

Standards range from beginner levels right through to AMEB Grade 8+. No matter what your level of musical skill, there is an ensemble to suit and a program that will encourage and inspire.

Each ensemble will undertake an intensive rehearsal program guided by esteemed conductors and tutors. The program begins with all ensembles attending full rehearsal and concludes with an Open Workshop at the Melbourne Town Hall, Saturday 22 January. A Showcase Performance by the Music Theatre and Stage Band ensembles is scheduled for Friday evening 21 January at BMW Edge, Federation Square.

Applications are now open online for what should be a fantastic start to 2011.
