Since 2007, the Newsboys Foundation has supported a Victorian Indigenous student to attend Geelong Grammar School. One student has already completed his education and Newsboys is currently supporting a second Victorian student to attend Geelong Grammar School.

Sandy Shaw went on the 2017 Yalari Outback Girls Camp with 16 Year 9 Indigenous students from all over Australia. The camp began at Alice Springs and toured through Palm Valley, Hermannsburg, Ormiston Gorge, the Areyonga Community, Kings Creek Station and finished at Uluru – the spiritual heartland of Australia. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with country and culture. Everyone had a great time with lots of yarns, walks, laughs and campfires! The girls formed strong friendships and bonds with each other throughout the trip which will serve them well as they complete their secondary education.
