Email Privacy
Newsboys Foundation does not provide, sell, or rent email addresses to anyone.

Data Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, officers and contractors who have a business need to know. They will only access your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.  We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements. In some circumstances you can ask us to delete your data. In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for analytical, research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.


International Visitors

Newsboys Foundation’s website is hosted in Australia and our work is solely conducted in Australia.  However, if you choose to use our website from the European Union or another region outside of Australia, from a region with laws governing data collection that differ from Australia, then please note that you are transferring your personal information outside of such region to Australia for storage and processing.  If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is effective from 25 May 2018.  In that case, Newsboys is the Controller and responsible for your personal data and our Privacy Officer is the Data Protection Officer (DPO).  Newsboys has taken all necessary steps to comply with the GDPR and we will only use your personal information and data as the law allows us to.  Under certain circumstances, EEA residents have rights under the GDPR to request access to their personal data, request corrections, request erasure of data, object to processing, request restriction of processing, request transfer of data and withdraw consent of processing data. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact our Privacy Officer (acting as DPO) as set out below.

This Privacy Policy is effective from 25 May 2018.  We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time; please review it periodically. We maintain the option to modify this Privacy Policy at any time by electronic notice posted on our website. Your continued use of our website after the date that such notices are posted will be deemed to be your agreement to the changed terms.
